Too busy to think enough to type
As things are starting to slow down outside of work as things at work pick up. Talk about busy.
I have noticed that I can’t see the lame plurals in the code though. It’s like my mind doesn’t care for trailing ‘s’, it just ignores them. So when I’m trying to debug @object and @objects and :thing and :things just don’t stand out at all…which leads to 4 hours of head to desk debugging before I nabbed @qrevolution to tell me how blind I am, even though @qrevolution has as much mad work as I do at the moment. Otherwise my love/hate relationship with ruby/rails continues. (It does magic, but …only when it wants too.)
I am still baffled as to how I could have talked about a site and a project that wasn’t mine for an hour with client services (apparently somewhere in my textual babbling on the topic cs gets a better idea of what we can do and what is involved – as well as where we can’t go and the impact to the client). It seems pretty neat though, if only we had the budget, and the flexible clients to drive what we do a little bit better we would have had great stuff like that already out in the wild.
On a non work note, Roommate #2 has finalllly moved in. She brought a ton of awesome cooking things. She’s a vegan though, so unfortunately we can only use them if they won’t be in contact with animal products. A little anal IMHO, since they would be washed, but it’s her stuff, so what she says goes. As long as the stuff respect is returned I have no problem with it.
Roommate #1 and I are still slugging through NCIS, and now Dexter.
Tomorrow – relaxing orchestral music “A Night in Vienna.” http://www.minnesotaorchestra.org/season/event_detail.cfm?id_event=8090118 (Hopefully he won’t smile at us that creepily. Srsly, please don’t smile dude.) Been a long time since I’ve been to a program up here so hopefully it’s great.
Hrm. What should I wear….
